MONTANA MAN CHARGED IN CRASH THAT KILLED VA. MAN

A Montana man was charged Monday with felony negligent homicide in an accident that killed a Virginia man.

Charges against Michael Cote, 37, of Arlee, arose from a head-on collision Sunday that killed Dudley Burford, 65, of Hardy.

Cote was driving a pickup truck that collided with a car in which Burford was a passenger on U.S. 93 near Ronan. Burford's wife, brother and sister-in-law were injured.

Cote also is charged with three counts of negligent vehicular assault; driving with a suspended or revoked license; and driving without insurance.
