Michael Anthony Ruben of the1400 block of Wellsley Avenue Northwest was in surgery at Roanoke Memorial Hospital late Tuesday afternoon, police said.
No information was made available about his condition Tuesday night on his family's request, according to a nursing supervisor.
Around 11:15 a.m. Ruben was riding a motorcycle at a high speed when he lost control of it and slid into the left rear of an unattended parked car, police said. Ruben was not wearing a helmet, police said.
