While Montgomery County does not have a vicious dog ordinance, it does address dangerous animals, according to County Administrator Betty Thomas.
People cannot permit animals under their control known to be or suspected of being dangerous to run at large. If a person fails to regain control of an animal after notification that the animal is at large and its being loose creates a danger to the public, the animal may be killed by order of the animal warden when deemed necessary.
