AROUND NEW RIVER

RINER - The Riner Fire Department is starting a fund raising campaign on Tuesday. It will last for several weeks. Representatives will be calling on every home in the fire district for participation. Those who help will receive a family portrait compliments of the fire department.

`Long Way' auditions

RADFORD - Auditions for the outdoor drama "The Long Way Home" will be held Saturday and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Auditions will be held for speaking and non-speaking roles as well as technical positions.

Auditions will be held at the Long Way Home Amphitheater, one mile from exit 105 of Interstate 81 off Virginia 232 (First Street).
