Council voted its approval Thursday night of a $50,000 loan to the county Industrial Development Authority from money in its water and sewer reserve accounts.
The county and town of Pulaski have made similar commitments to go along with state incentives announced last month by Gov. George Allen. Dublin's loan would be repayable no later than June 30, 1997.
Council also held a public hearing on its 1994-95 budget, but drew no speakers. The $1.9 million budget has no tax increases.
Town Manager Gary Elander said the budget projects strong sales tax collections based on the improving economy. No water or sewer fee increases are recommended. Industrial park revenue from rentals and services is projected to go up by 4 percent.
The budget also includes a recommended $25 monthly increase in pay to council members.
Council approved the sale of more than 28 acres in the town-owned Staff Village to people with homes there. Council officially deemed the property as better suited for noncommercial use than for prospective industry.
