HESTON SPEAKING FOR RIGHT TO WORK GROUP

Opponents of a bill that would bar permanent replacement of striking workers said Friday that they planned to target 13 senators with television ads featuring actor Charlton Heston.

The National Right to Work Committee, a national anti-union interest group, is launching a $100,000 ad campaign in 10 states urging key senators to support a filibuster against the bill.

The planned ads show a picture of each of the senators and urge the public to send a $9.80 mailgram to his office to protest the bill.

Among those the group is targeting is Virginia Democrat Charles Robb.
