WATERCOLOR SOCIETY NAMES WINNERS

Twenty four awards and three honorable mentions were presented in the 15th Virginia Watercolor Society Jurored Exhibition at Virginia Tech's Perspective Gallery.

Merchants from state and local businesses provided cash awards or merchandise provided cash awards or merchandise certificates.

Local winners included: Patricia Harrington of Lynchburg for her painting "Cassie's Colors;" Judy Bates of Salem for "Summer Kaleidoscope;" Louis Barberis of Bedford for an untitled composition; Annie Adams Robertson Massie of Lynchburg for "Bateauxmen," Diane Patton of Roanoke for her painting "Be There;" and Z.L. Feng of Radford for "Tibetan at Prayer."

An honorable mention went to Patricia T. Carr of Roanoke for her painting "Dispose of Properly."

The awards were presented Saturday evening.

The exhibit will run through June 23.
