ARTIST HONORED BY ARCHITECTS

Roanoke artist Eric Fitzpatrick received the Allied Artists Award from the Blue Ridge Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The award, which he received in Blacksburg, is given every two years to an artist who has demonstrated a love of architecture in his or her work.

Fitzpatrick also received the Partnership Award from the Mental Health Association for his donation of time in creating a limited-edition print called ``Walking Toward the Light'' as a fund-raiser for the association.
