DAVIS LIFTS BOTETOURT

Brian Davis lifted a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning to score John Kolodo with the winning run and cap a two-run rally that gave Lord Botetourt (9-9-1) a 4-3 win over Rockbridge County (7-12) in the Blue Ridge District baseball tournament on Monday.

Both Cavalier runs were unearned, as Sean Connor scored from first base on a throwing error that followed Koloda's bunt. Koloda, who had a two-run double earlier in the game, went to third on the error.
