AREA BASEBALL PLAYERS ON COLLEGE ALL-STATE TEAM

Washington and Lee's Graig Fantuzzi and Ferrum's Keith Mayhew have been named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors' College Division All-State baseball team.

Fantuzzi was selected as an outfielder and Mayhew as a pitcher. W&L's Bates Brown and Ferrum's Jimmy Hamilton and Chad Maddox were honorable-mention choices.

A 100-lap Late Model Stock Car feature race headlines the Budweiser 200 tonight at New River Valley Speedway. Also on tap are 35 laps for the Limited Sportsman drivers, and 25 each for the Mod Mini, Mini and Pure Stock cars. Gates open at 2 p.m., with practice starting at 4. Qualifying is at 6:15 with the first race starting at 8 p.m.
