His bid to be known as "Six-Track" this season ended Saturday night.
Ferrum's Bobby Radford - driving a Dodge - won the Late Model Stock Car feature of the Acme Business Machines 300 at Franklin County Speedway. Radford broke Cundiff's string of victories at five.
Radford did not collect the $1,000 track bounty on Cundiff, however, because Cundiff pulled his Ford Thunderbird out of the race on lap 85. Cundiff led the race from laps 53 through 77.
"I blistered my right-rear tire and just couldn't hold it," Cundiff said. "I thought it was too dangerous to continue."
Cundiff, who started fourth, placed 10th - his worst FCS finish this year.
Frankie Pennington, driving a Ford, won the pole for the third consecutive week. He led for more than half of the race, but faded to fifth.
Radford qualified second, then dropped to third when Cundiff passed him on lap 21. When Cundiff assumed the lead on lap 53, Radford also moved up a spot.
Points leader Dudley Lawhorn finished second, one spot ahead of Kenny Wagner. Salem's Ronnie Newman took fourth.
In other races Saturday night:
Mini Stock points leader Steve Lam came from behind to win his seventh race in nine starts. Pole-sitter Gary Joyce led for the first 13 laps of the caution-free race and finished second. Tommy Dean placed third, moving into the top 10 in points for the first time this year.
Lonnie Foley took the lead from Phillip VanDerVeer on lap 18 and won his first Street Stock race this season. VanDerVeer was second, and points leader Mike Dudley finished third.
Mike Owens won the Pure Stock division, holding off Ashley Wimmer (second) and Scott Constable (third). With the victory, Owens reclaimed the points lead. Red Hartman, the former points leader, placed ninth.
Tommy Hall won the Any Car nightcap.
