HOLIDAY CLOSINGS, SCHEDULE CHANGES|

While schools in Pulaski and Montgomery counties and in Radford will be open on Monday, Memorial Day, banks and post offices will be closed.

In addition, county, town and city offices will be closed for the holiday, and some trash collection schedules have been altered.

In Blacksburg, the municipal building, the community center and gymnasium, and Blacksburg Transit offices will be closed.

Blacksburg Transit buses will not run.

The aquatic center and golf course will be open

Blacksburg trash collections will follow the regular schedule.

In Christiansburg, the recreation center and senior center will be closed.

Monday's trash will be picked up Tuesday along with the regular Tuesday run in Christiansburg. Residents should place their trash at curbside before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

In Pulaski and Pulaski County, there will be no interruption in the garbage pickup schedules.

In Dublin and in Radford, trash normally collected on Monday will be picked up the following day.
