LIGHTFOOT, Elnora Preston, 60, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, May 28, 1994, in a local hospital. Survivors include her husband, James Lightfoot; two sons, Michael (Myra) Lightfoot, Atlanta, Ga., Randall Lightfoot, Arch Dale, N. C.; two daughters, Renita (Eric) Sharp, and Jaynine Lightfoot, Roanoke; seven grandchildren; three brothers, William Preston, Elwood (Hilda) Preston and Johnny (Cornetta) Preston, all of Roanoke; three sisters, Alverta Menefee and Geraldine Terry, both of Rocky Mount, and Annie Mae (Henry) Thompson, Washington, D. C.; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Loudon Ave. Christian Church, with the Rev. William L. Lee officiating. Interment in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to p.m. at the church. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.

ANDERS, Stacy N., 25, of Independence, Va., passed away Sunday, May 29, 1994. Funeral service Wednesday, 2 p.m., Reins Sturdivant Chapel, Independence.

ANDERSON, Paul Allen Sr., 82, of Rt. 1 Rural Retreat, Va., died Saturday in the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. He was born in Lee County, Va., the son of the late Jessie Kensel and Nanny Sparks Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a retired farmer and had retired from the U.S. Army with 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lee Bader and is survived by his wife, Vera Lee Anders Anderson; two daughters, Alfreda Gay Cochran, Jasper, Arkansas and Barbara Anderson, Erwin, Tenn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul A. and Judy Anderson Jr., of Shawnee, Ka nsas; one sister, Ruby Stark, Indianapolis, Indiana; six grandchildren, Mike Anderson, Scott Anderson, Shawna Cochran, Kelly Cochran, Tammy Cochran, and Heather Cochran. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Conducted by the Rev. Michael Hoyle. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin, Tenn., with Military Rites being conducted by the John-Severe V.F.W. Post #2108 of Johnson City, Tenn. DRAPER, Josephine Ruff, 59, of Roanoke, died Monday, May 30, 1994 in a local hospital. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Maude Ruff, Fincastle; five sons, Gary Noel of South Carolina, Lee Draper of Fincastle, David Draper, Steven Draper and Allen Draper, all of Roanoke; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Draper of Vinton, Mrs. Linda Thomas of Troutville, Mrs. Mary Jane Workman of Midlothian; three brothers, Charles Ruff, Frank Ruff, and Rodney Ruff all of Fincastle; seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Eagle Rock Funeral Home. Funeral will be at the graveside Wednesday morning 11 a.m. June 1, 1994, in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Fincastle.

DUNCAN, Cecil Calvin, 69, of Shawsville, died Sunday, May 29, 1994, in a Pulaski hospital. The funeral will be 1 p.m. today from the Seneca Baptist Church, Elliston, conducted by the Rev. Virgil McCombes with burial in the Dan Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Richardson-Horne in Christiansburg.

FIREBAUGH, Ruby Manning, 77, of Roanoke, died Monday, May 30, 1994 in a local nursing home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Botetourt County, daughter of the late Griffith and Mattie Manning. Mrs. Firebaugh was a longtime member of First Church of the Brethren when she served as Superintendent of the Nursery Department for over 25 years and was a member of the Christian Home Builders Sunday School Class. She retired as Vice President and Bookkeeper of Clement Brokerage Company in Roanoke. Surviving is her husband, Nelson Edward Firebaugh; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Eugene Hurst Jr., Richlands; son and daughter-in-law, Barry N. Sr. and Nancy Firebaugh, York, Pa; grandchildren, Barry N. Firebaugh Jr., Marion Va.; Tamrya L. Firebaugh, York, Pa; Gregory H. and Diane C. Hurst, Jeffrey N. Hurst, and Jill E. Hurst, all of Richlands; great-grandson, Brett N. Firebaugh, Marion, Va.; sister, Clara M. Doss, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 am Wednesday, June 1, 1994, with the Rev. Lucinda Barnum-Steggerda and the Rev. Paul E. Alwine officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorials be made in Mrs. Firebaugh's name to the Nursery Department of First Church of the Brethren, 2001 Carroll Avenue, N.W., Roanoke, Va 24017. GILLENWALTERS, Sallie Underwood, 93, of Floyd, passed away Monday, May 30, 1994, in a Galax Hospital. Survivors include two sons, J. A. Gillenwalters, Mobile, Ala., David E. Gillenwalters, Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Amanda Ola Shortt, Roanoke, Va.; two sisters and a brother, Daisy, Pearl and Hassell Underwood, all of Bel Air, Md.; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. HALL, James Leonard, 78, of Route 1, Glade Hill, died Monday, May 30, 1994, in the local hospital. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Glade Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Maxey. Surviving are his wife, Christine Hall; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Jim Perdue, Glade Hill; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Katie Hall, Callaway, Charles and Betty Hall, Roanoke; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby McBride, Glade Hill, Annie Turner, Martinsville; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Sidney and Fannie Hall, Glade Hill, Carl and Marylee Hall, Rocky Mount, Terry and Doris Hall, Rocky Mount, Van and Faye Hall, Linden, Texas. LILES, William H., (``Billy``), 64, of Vinton, died Sunday, May 29, 1994, after a lenghtly illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert W. and Rose C. Liles and was associated with Berts and Liles Shoe Fashion in downtown Roanoke for many years. An avid golfer, he was past president of RVGA and also a past City and County Title Holder. He was pro at Lakeview Country Club before it became a retirement community. He is survived by his wife, Faye C. Liles; sons and daughters-in-law, William H. ``Chip`` Liles, II and Deborah L. Liles, of Roanoke; Keith N. Liles and Kerry B. Liles, Vinton; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Liles Wickstrand and Gary Wickstrand, Va. McCORMICK, Virginia Fix, (``Tiny""), 76, of Lexington, died Sunday, May 29, 1994 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mrs. McCormick was born October 28, 1917 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Phillip W. Fix and Jennie G. Fix. She was a member of the Lauderdale A.R.P. Church and retired from Stonewall Jackson Hospital as a patient sitter. Surviving are her husband, Roy L. McCormick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and John McDaniel, Glasgow, Jeanie and Buddy Patterson, Vinton; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice McDaniel, Glasgow, Mrs. Helen Wills, Lexington; four grandchildren, Gregory McDaniel, Roanoke, Ginger McDaniel, Glasgow, Shannon Patterson and Troy Patterson, both of Vinton; and three great-grandchildren, Kendall, Ashleigh and Taylor Patterson, all of Vinton. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 1994 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Zeb Carson Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. OBENSHAIN, Hudson, of Roanoke, passed away Monday morning May 30, 1994. He was a charter member of Westhampton Christian Church, and a retired employee of the Norfolk and Western Railway. Mr. Obenshain was a member of the Troutville Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, the U.C.T. and the Fatima Guild. He is survived by his wife, Blanche Gusler Obenshain and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel, 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Dr. Paul D. Matheny and the Rev. Walter Bingham officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. ROBERTSON, Harlan Cleveland, (""Mutt""), 65, of Narrows, died Sunday, May 29, 1994, in a Pearisburg, Va. hospital. He was born in Giles County, the son of the late Cleve and Bertha Kelly Roberton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Robertson; and two brothers, Fred and Russell Robertson. He was disabled from General Motors Corporation of Grand Blanc, Mich., a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a retired U.A.W. member, local Union #1292. Surviving are two brothers, Raymond Robertson, of Narrows, Everette Eugene Robertson, of Pembroke; and four sisters, Lura Sexton, of Narrows; Christine Stafford, of Flint, Mich.; Shirley Witt, of Mt. Airy, N.C. and Reba Pruitt, of Grundy. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, June1, 1994, in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service with the Rev. Kim Jon es officiating. SMITH, Agatha Frances, 72, of Roanoke, died Sunday, May 29, 1994, in a Salem hospital. She was preceded in death by her hushand of 46 years, Perry L. Smith Jr.; and a brother, Euray (Bud) Hall. Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons and daughters, Perry Lee Smith III and Kathy Smith, Salem, Bill and Linda Goens, Gardners, Pa.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Renee Smith, Roanoke; Betty Humphries, Forth Worth, Texas, Barbara and Billy Hall, Debbie and Forest Webster, all of Roanoke, Robin and Jim Brabham, Franklin County; three sisters, Eula Goodwin, Pauline Seale, both of Salem, Ruby Sides, Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. SOUTHWORTH, Sallie Copenhaver, 86, of Richmond, died Monday, May 30, 1994. She retired from the Richmond City Schools in 1971 as an English teacher at Albert Hill. She began her career at Cardwell High School, Goochland County, in 1931, following her graduation from the College of William and Mary. Born in Dublin, Va. on May 21, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Lucy Howe Copenhaver. She was the widow of Horace A. Southworth. Mrs. Southworth is survived by three children, Nancy S. Barrow, Annandale, Virginia S. Yohn, York, Pa., and David A. Southworth, Montpelier; a sister, Eliza C. Gordon, Wyth eville; and five grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Seventh Street Christian Church. Mrs. Southworth was a member and former Regent of the William Byrd Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of The Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century, The Jamestown Society, The Mayflower Society, The Guild of St. Margaret and the Daughters of Colonial Wars. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 1994 at New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dublin, Va. The Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Logan Room at St. John's Episcopal Church in Wytheville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
