ODU BASEBALL COACH RESIGNS

Pat McMahon is resigning as head baseball coach at Old Dominion to become associate coach at Mississippi State University. McMahon had served as an assistant coach under Mississippi State head coach Ron Polk from 1983-89 before accepting the Old Dominion post.

McMahon guided Old Dominion to a five-year record of 189-86, including a 40-14 mark and NCAA East Regional appearance this season. In coaching the Monarchs to the 1994 Colonial Athletic Association title, McMahon was named the CAA's Coach of the Year.
