TAKE NOTE

Support groups are in place in the New River Valley for people with a diagnosed mental illness or persons who support or are affected by someone with mental illness.

The groups are free and are run by and for the members. Confidentiality is respected while individuals share similar experiences and search for solutions. A support group helps the members understand mental illness, receive and give emotional support and learn about resources.

Groups meet in Radford on Sunday evenings and in Christiansburg on Tuesday evenings. For more information, call 639-1553 or 381-0773 after 6 p.m.
