ETC. CHRISTIANSBURG DRIVER AWARDED WIN AT NEW RIVER TRACK

Jeff Manning of Christiansburg was awarded the victory in the 25-lap Mini Stock race that was part of the Marathon-Jordon Oil/Cloud's Clothing 250 at New River Valley Speedway on Saturday night at Radford.

Manning was elevated to the top spot when apparent winner Ray Sowers of Floyd was disqualified because his car's engine cylinders were determined to be "poured and polished," said Lynn Carroll, the track's chief steward.

The disqualification moved Gene Duncan to second place and Randy Bell to third.
