The grating tones of Bob Dylan will be blowin' in the wind as headline act at Woodstock '94, the 25th-anniversary concert that will be held in upstate New York on Aug. 12, according to Newsweek magazine.

Other old-timers scheduled to play are Santana; the Allman Brothers; the Band; and Crosby, Stills & Nash - plus such neo-rockers as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Alice in Chains, the Spin Doctors and Melissa Etheridge.

Organizers of this year's festivities are operating with '90s-style efficiency: 2,700 portable toilets have been ordered, plus a slew of automated-teller machines.

Alan Jackson knows a lot about winning awards.

Jackson was voted entertainer of the year and male artist of the year, and won awards for single, video and album at the TNN-Music City News Country Awards on Monday.

It was Jackson's third album-of-the-year award, this time for "A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'Bout Love)."

"Somebody said to me backstage, `You've won the most awards tonight and you have on the least expensive outfit,' " said Jackson, who wore black jeans, a T-shirt and a cowboy hat.

Other winners: The Statler Brothers, named vocal group of the year for the 24th time; Ray Stevens, comedian of the year for the eighth consecutive show; Lorrie Morgan, who broke Reba McEntire's three-year hold on female artist of the year; and John Michael Montgomery, named the star of tomorrow.

Movies are OK for a day job, but Hulk Hogan needs an occasional body slam, too.

Hogan said he's getting back in the ring after trading wrestling for an acting career. He has signed a deal with Ted Turner's World Championship Wrestling show to hit the canvas this summer in a series of matches.
