A VOICE OF EXPERIENCE

Bob Lee, president and general manager of Roanoke CBS-affiliate WDBJ:

``I think it'll do real well.

"When CBS posed the question to its affiliates, `What kind of programming would you be interested in in the absence of football?' one of the things the affiliates were most interested in was women's programming, or something not directly in competition with football ... which is to say, `Don't give us a bunch of sports anthologies; let's go in a different direction.'

``With two networks playing football in the past, some of the ABC and Fox stations, which have carefully selected movies, have done extremely well with a female audience.''
