Union President Mark Stevers on Wednesday night confirmed the approval of the contract but declined to comment on its specifics. The company planned to release a prepared statement today, he said.
John Yearick, Corning's personnel director, also confirmed the results of the vote and said the company's management was working with the union on the statement.
