WYTHE MAN DIES, PINNED UNDER TRUCK

A 76-year-old Wythe County man died Wednesday after being pinned under his truck bed at the Wythe Stone Quarry on Virginia 649. A spokesman at the Wythe County Sheriff's Office said it was not know how Thomas Reed Irvin was pinned.

Wythe County Rescue Squad workers were able to revive him using CPR techniques, but he died after being taken to Wythe County Community Hospital.
