REPORTED EARNINGS

Shoney's Inc., a Nashville, Tenn.-based restaurant chain, reported second-quarter earnings up 12 percent from $15.1 million to $16.9 million. Earnings increased from 35 to 38 cents per share, up 9 percent. revenues rose to $277.5 million from $262.8 million.

For the first half of fiscal 1994, the company reported earnings of $36.5 million, up 34 percent from $27.2 million a year earlier. Earnings per share rose 30 percent to 83 cents from 64 cents. Revenues for the 28-week period ending May 15 increased 6 percent from last year.
