Q: On a recent radio talk show, it was said that the father of a Medal of Honor winner snubbed President Clinton at the White House awards ceremony recently. Why was this not reported in the paper or on television?

A: Herbert Shughart, father of Sgt. 1st Class Randall Shughart who was killed in Somalia and received the Medal of Honor posthumously at a ceremony earlier this month, did indeed unload on Clinton. But the ioncident occurred not at the ceremony, but afterward in the Oval Office where the families were invited for a private visit. You can be certain that if a news reporter heard or witnessed the incident it would have been reported widely.
