NO CHARGES TO BE FILED IN FATAL CRASH

No charges will be filed in connection with an accident that killed a 16-year-old Glenvar High School student in South Carolina on Saturday afternoon.

Bryan William Thomas, on his way to Myrtle Beach for senior week, was killed at the intersection of U.S. 1 and South Carolina 9 in Marlboro County when the car he was driving was struck by a vehicle driven by Thomas Coachman, 32, of Bennettsville, S.C., according to highway Patrolman C.B. Thompson.

Thompson said Coachman's vehicle was entering a reduced speed zone and struck Thomas' car when Thomas failed to yield.

Thomas was killed almost instantly after being thrown about 75 feet from his car.
