The Bucs (30-35) scored all their runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
In the fourth, third baseman Jay Cranford led off with a walk against Cannons starter Dean Locklear, stole second and came home on a two-out double by designated hitter Mitch House.
Salem made it 3-0 in the fifth. Second baseman Chance Sanford was hit by a pitch and took second on a wild pitch. After Locklear (1-1) walked catcher Jason Kendall, left fielder Danny Clyburn doubled down the left-field line to drive in Sanford and Kendall.
Clyburn, House and center fielder Dario Tena each went 2-for-4 to lead the Bucs' offense.
Prince William (37-29) broke through against Chamberlain (3-8) in the sixth when first baseman Eddie Pearson hit his sixth homer, a towering drive to right field. The right-hander gave up five hits and one walk, striking out three in seven innings.
Sean Evans worked the eighth for Salem. Marc Pisciotta pitched a perfect ninth inning, striking out two, to earn his 17th save of the season.
The teams wrap up their three-game series today with a 7:30 p.m. matchup. Sean Lawrence is scheduled to start for the Bucs, and Scott Christman will pitch for the Cannons.
