For three-and-a-half years we've watched this mysterious couple live a long, drawn-out soap opera.

We saw them meet. We watched them flirt. We eyed them consume hundreds of cups of coffee. We got goose bumps when they finally kissed -- in Paris. And when their relationship finally blossomed, we cringed when a young man came into the picture and uttered, "Hi, Mom."
