NEW RIVER PEOPLE IN BUSINESS

SHARON W. DUNCAN has been promoted to vice president at The National Bank of Blacksburg. Duncan joined the bank in 1985 as a management trainee and most recently has been branch manager at the South Main Street office. She is a Pembroke native and lives in Christiansburg with her husband Gerald.

SRIKANTH NATHELLA has joined the staff of Draper Aden Associates in Blacksburg as an environmental project engineer, specializing in waste treatment and remediation. Nathella holds degrees from Anna University and Arizona State University.

DEBORAH A. HESLIP, owner and operator of The HairForce in Christiansburg was awarded the 1994 Christiansburg-Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person Award. She began her professional career 15 years ago and opened her business in 1987.

DR. KIMBERLY S. SWANSON has received board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Passing the exam is the last of many steps to becoming a board certified surgeon. She is an active member of the medical staff at Pulaski Community Hospital.

Interior Design Nutritionals has promoted CHRIS SCHELLHAMMER of Blacksburg to executive. He has been an independent distributor for the company since November 1992.

Blacksburg optometrist STEVE JACOBS participated in the Sight-Saving Month Campaign in May to benefit the Prevent Blindness Virginia organization. Jacobs donated one dollar for each eye exam or glasses or contact fitting performed during the month.

Blacksburg native FRITZ KNACK recently joined Datastream Systems of Greenville, S.C. as a support analyst. Knack is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Radford University.
