NBA SAYS T'WOLVES MUST STAY

The NBA's board of governors voted Tuesday in New York to reject the sale of the Minnesota Timberwolves to a group that planned to move the team to New Orleans.

The board followed the recommendation of the league's relocation committee, which decided last week that the proposal by Top Rank of Louisiana was inadequately financed.

Top Rank officials didn't attend the meeting, but the Timberwolves' owners filed suit against them in Minneapolis claiming they didn't turn over financial information the league had requested.
