MARTINSVILLE MAN KILLED IN CAR CRASH

Edward Earl Midkiff, 32, was driving west on Virginia 658 in the Scratch Gravel community when he failed to stop for a stop sign, drove through an intersection and was struck by another car, the police said. Midkiff was pinned in his car and died at the scene, the police said.

The wreck happened shortly after 9 p.m.
