AN OVERWHELMING RESPONSE

Wow! The mail continues to pour in with questions that would be of general interest to others, so I want to say (1) thanks and (2) I simply can't use them all, at least not right away.

However, please keep mail coming but note the closing paragraph at the end of each Dear John, particularly the request for "short questions.". Space is limited.

Also, some writers have wanted recommendations about plant problems that really require that a sample be taken to their local Extension Office for diagnosis.

I have read all the mail and ranked letters into answer: ASAP, soon and can wait, but even these piles are too big to handle .
