CAREY TO SPEAK

Author Ken Carey will appear on July 15 at 8 p.m. at Floyd County High School's auditorium. He will discuss ``Nature and the Human Spirit - A Starseed Gathering.'' Tickets cost $10 in advance and $12 on the night of the show.

Carey is the author of ``Flat Rock Journal,'' which explores the link between nature and the human spirit. He will sign books on July 11 from noon-2 at Book, Strings & Things in Roanoke, and on July 13 from 2-4 at Books, Strings & Things in Blacksburg.
