NEW PULASKI MIDDLE PRINCIPAL FROM VA. BEACH

A Virginia Beach educator will become the new principal at Pulaski Middle School in July.

Roger Green, assistant principal and program coordinator at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach for the past four years, has been chosen for the Pulaski post.

A native of Indiana, Green has taught at elementary, middle and secondary levels. He has 12 years of teaching and eight years of administrative experience. He is enrolled in a doctoral program at Virginia Tech.

Green taught physical education for a year in Florida after graduating from college, then moved to Virginia Beach in 1974 as a physical education teacher. He also worked in elementary school at Virginia Beach for three years.

Pulaski County school officials will begin interviewing applicants for principal at Draper Elementary School next week.

Ned Olinger, principal at Pulaski Middle School in 1993-94, will become principal at Newbern Elementary. Linda Hill, who had been principal at both Newbern and Draper elementary, is returning to the classroom.
