SCOUT TROOP HONORS LONG-TIME SCOUTMASTER

Boy Scout Troop 26 honored Scoutmaster Robert S. Simpson with a 35-year dedicated service plaque at their 50th anniversary celebration at Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Simpson has been a scoutmaster for over 29 years. He has won several awards over the years since he took scouter's training in 1966 including: the Scouter's Key in 1979, the Wood Badge in 1980 and the Silver Beaver in 1984. He also was given the District Award of Merit and the National Scoutmaster Award of Merit.

Simpson has also been involved with the Cub Scout Program.

His sons, Mike and Sam, are both Eagle Scouts.
