JAPAN DESTROYED GERM WEAPONS AT WAR'S END

A former army officer disclosed Monday that he ordered evidence of biological weapon development destroyed on the day Japan surrendered in World War II, a news report said.

The former lieutenant colonel said he issued the order because he knew Japan's activities violated international conventions, Japan's Kyodo News Service reported.
