ROANOKE VALLEY ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Roanoke Valley home sales achieved a modest increase last month with a 6.3 percent jump over June of last year. The Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors reported that 354 homes were sold in June, compared with 333 a year earlier. But sales for the year to date are off 1 percent, from 2,230 last year to 2,206 for the first half of this year.

The median price of a home jumped from $89,950 in May to $92,500 last month.
