ConAgra Inc.

ConAgra Inc., Omaha, Neb., food processor and marketer with operations in Virginia, reported net income for its fiscal year ended May 29 up 12 percent to $437.1 million, or $1.81 a share, from year-earlier $391.5 million, or $1.58 a share. Sales rose 9 percent to $23.5 billion from $21.5 billion.

Morrison Inc.

Morrison Restaurants Inc., Mobile, Ala., chain operating a cafeteria in Roanoke, reported net income of $44.7 million, or $1.20 per share, for its fiscal year ended June 4. That compares with income of $38 million, or $1.01 per share, a year earlier. Sales rose 10 percent to $1.21 billion against $1.09 billion.

Corning Inc.

Corning Inc., Corning, N.Y., parent of a Christiansburg plant making ceramic parts for catalytic converters, reported net income of $111.4 million, or 54 cents per share, for its second quarter ended June 19. That compares with year-earlier $89.8 million, or 47 cents per share. Revenues grew 22 percent to $1.05 billion from $906.8 million.
