RELIGION BRIEFS

VICTORS IN WAR AGAINST DRUGS TO SHARE, a night of music and testimony featuring the Y.C. Vocal Band & The Gillotts, will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Evangel Foursquare Church, 612 Bullitt Ave.

The Y.C. Vocal Band is composed of young men from the Tidewater area and the East Coast. The group, which collectively represents 200 years of drug and alcohol abuse, will sing and share dramatic stories of how they found freedom from lives of bondage and crime. They are part of the Youth Challenge Program in Newport News and are directed by Bernie and Cathy Gillott.

Bernie Gillott is in his second decade of outreach with Youth Challenge and Teen Challenge. He has trained, directed, and toured with 70 Challenge Choir teams in seven different countries and 47 U.S. states.

\ MEN'S DAY will be observed on Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at the Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1014 Norfolk Ave., S.W. George Clemons, a juvenile probation officer for Roanoke, will be the guest speaker. Music will be provided by the church's men's choir.

\ THE STORYHOUSE, Vinton Baptist Church's Preschool Library Program for 3-and 4-year-olds, will begin its summer session on Wednesday at 10 and 11 a.m.

The free classes, which will be held in the church's media library, will continue for five weeks. Each session will feature stories about family. Weekly activities will include games, songs and library lessons.

Enrollment forms need to be returned no later than Monday. Classes will be limited to 10 students per class. To enroll a child or for more information, call the church office at 343-7685.
