\ JENNIFER DONIKOWSKI, a student at Radford University, was named a United States National Collegiate winner in student government and a Collegiate Scholastic All-American by the United States Achievement Academy.

She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Fred Donikowski of Salem.

\ WILLIAM FLEMING HIGH SCHOOL announced the names of students who received instrumental music awards during the school's spring concert. They are: Thomas Pendleton, John Phillip Sousa Award; Cary Sweet, Semper Fidelis Award; Amy Johnson, Arion Foundation Award; Jennie Hilton and David Bliley, Louis Armstrong Jazz Award.

Bliley and Hilton were voted the Top Jazz bandsmen by student members.

The Top Concert/Marching bandsmen were Thomas Pendleton, Amy Johnson, John E. Wright, April Johnson, Keisha Miller, Latoya Jones, Sonya Sawyer, Carl Tinsley, Erica Lea and Vicki Farmakis.

\ VIRGINIA MILITARY INSTITUTE awarded degrees to several Roanoke-area students. They are: Chad Neal Correll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Yates, bachelor of science in civil engineering; Danny Walker Felty, son of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Felty, bachelor of science in biology; Charles Downs, son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles L. Downs, bachelor of arts in history; Mark Hazelwood, son of Mark R. Hazelwood, bachelor of arts in history; Edward Rives Henning, son of George D. and Edna Henning of Roanoke, bachelor of science in economics and business; and Charles Stanley, son of Kenneth H. Stanley, bachelor of arts in English.
