BANKRUPTCY COURT RECEIVES 5 PETITIONS

Five petitions with business affiliations have been filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Western Virginia at Roanoke. Four of them are personal bankruptcies that the court listed as businesses because they have commercial connections and could be of interest to business creditors and customers.

NBL Coal Co. Inc. of Norton filed for reorganization and protection from creditors. The company estimated both assets and liabilities at less than $50,000.

Thomas Harrell Wagner of Horse Shoe Bend in Roanoke, sought liquidation with assets of $12,220 and liabilities of $86,450. He is in the real estate business.

\ William Alfred Manspile Jr. of Marr Street in Roanoke, owner of Manspile Paint, asked for liquidation. He listed no assets and liabilities of $46,908.

\ Charles Douglas Riner of Coeburn, owner of Douglas Riner Enterprises Inc., filed for liquidation with assets of $67,720 and liabilities of $87,765.

Gerald E. Sloce and Claudette Carolyn Sloce of Wise asked for liquidation. They had assets of $5,990 and liabilities of $133,645. He is self-employed.
