The funds will be used to provide counseling, tutoring and other special services designed to help students succeed in college.

Services will be targeted to students with low incomes, those with disabilities, and those who are the first in their families to attend college. About 265 students are expected to participate in the 1994-95 academic year.

Rec center input

RADFORD - City residents will get a chance to tell the Radford Parks and Recreation Department what they'd like to see in a new recreation center.

A Recreation-Community Center survey went out this week as part of "For Your Information," Radford's quarterly newsletter.

In addition to asking residents whether they think the city needs a new rec center, the survey wants respondents to tell what programs and facilities they'd like to see and how often they'd take advantage of them.

The survey also will tabulate demographic information on respondents and whether they use the present Recreation Center on First Street.

For more information, call 731-3633.
