ODU, UVA MEET IN PRESEASON NIT

A pair of in-state matchups - Old Dominion at Virginia and Ohio University at Ohio State - highlight the opening round of the Preseason NIT, which was announced Tuesday.

The winners of those Nov. 16 games will meet Nov. 18 in the second round.

The other first-round matchups for the 10th edition of the Preseason NIT include George Washington at Syracuse; Canisius at Penn; Kansas State at Alabama; and New Mexico State at Southern Cal, all on Nov. 16, as well as San Francisco at New Mexico and Southwestern Louisiana at Memphis, both on Nov. 17.- Associated Press
