The Jefferson National Forest considers all its alternative routes for a proposed high-voltage power line as viable options as it prepares an environmental impact statement on the project. A story that ran July 8 stated that an alternative route that clips the north end of Blacksburg probably would be dropped. Some of the alternatives may drop out, while others may be added during the impact statement process.
