Norfolk Southern Corp. on Tuesday declared a regular quarterly dividend of 48 cents per share on its common stock, payable Sept. 10 to stockholders on Aug. 5.

AutoZone, a Memphis, Tenn.-based chain of 891 auto parts and accessories stores, has opened its first Roanoke Valley store, a 6,600-square-foot outlet at 4106 Melrose Ave., Roanoke, managed by Jesse Ferguson. AutoZone is a public company with stock traded on the New York Stock Exchange. It was founded in 1979 as Auto Shack Inc. and adopted its current name in 1987.
