RADVA ANNOUNCES POSSIBLE PACT

Radva Corp. has a tentative agreement to contract with a Canadian company to make its patented Thermastructure building panels, the company's president has confirmed.

Gov. George Allen announced in a news release that his recent trade mission to Canada and Mexico had produced several accomplishments, among them a signed contract that Radva had obtained to supply $3 million worth of building systems technology.

Radva President Luther Dickens qualified the announcement, however, saying that the legal details had not yet been ironed out with the unnamed company. He expects the deal to be sealed in 10 days.

Radva has contracted with companies in Russia and Australia that make the steel-reinforced Styrofoam-like panels that substitute for traditional wood frame construction.
