Charles R. and Naomi G. Simpson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 3, 1994. The celebration was hosted by their children, Roger and Joan Simpson and Dick and Linda Simpson at the summer home of Roger and Joan at Smith Mountain Lake. They have two grandchildren, Karen and Matthew. Mr. and Mrs. Simpson were married in Roanoke, Va., on July 3, 1944. She is the former Naomi Graybill of Troutville. They have owned and operated Charles R. Simpson, Inc., a building business, for over 30 years. The couple reside in Salem.
