Kopera-Cunningham

Paula Leigh Cunningham and Ralph Robert Kopera were married July 30, 1994, in Central Baptist Church. Rev. David Henderson and Rev. Jo hn Meadows officiated the ceremony. The reception was held at the Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel. The matron of honor was Kimberly Radford, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lanette Spencer, of Halifax, Lisa O'Neal, of Lynchburg, and Stephanie DeMaurice, of Roanoke, friends of the bride. The best man was Gerard Kopera, of Queens, N.Y., brother of the groom. The ushers were Bill Schwartz, of Alexandria, Bill Singler, of Va. Beach, friends of the groom; and Doug Cunningham, brother of the bride. The wedding director was Lisa Tomlinson of Roanoke. The guestbook was attended by Beth Crouch of Vinton. She is employed by Bedford County Schools. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kopera, of Manor, N.Y., graduated from Virginia Tech. He is employed by Litton Poly-Scientific. After a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple will reside in Roanoke.

\ Linkimer-Beard

Ann Beard and David Linkimer were married July 30, 1994 in Bonsack United Methodist Church. The officiating clergyman was Rev. John Ashley. The reception was held at Roanoke Airport Marriott.

The maid of honor was Kelly Maloney, cousin of the bride. The matron of honor was Mary Barnes, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Hindi Linkimer, sister of the groom, Lisa Apa, friend of the bride, and Rachel Giesy, friend of the bride.

The best man was Michael Basziewicz, friend of the groom. The ushers were Damon Di Marco, friend of the groom, Steven Beard, brother of the bride, Mike Harrell, friend of the groom, Bill Baroni, friend of the groom, Stu Bresler, friend of the groom, and Doug Czekaj, friend of the groom. The wedding coordinator was Karen Gwitt.

The bride is a daughter of Larry and Linda Beard of Troutville, Va. She is a graduate of Penn State University and is attending Hollins College, MALS program.

The bridgegroom, son of Tom and Sandy Linkimer of Hamilton Square, N.J. is a graduate of Penn State University and is employed by the Lynchburg Police Department.

The newlyweds will live in Lynchburg, Va. after the wedding trip to Virginia Beach.

\ Odasz-Wilson

Susan Sherrill Wilson and Bernard Frank Odasz were married June 4, 1994, in Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church, Roanoke. The officiating clergyman was Father Ken Stofft. The reception was held in the church commons and Huntington Downs, Greenville, S.C.

The matron of honor was Carlene Campbell, of Greenville, S.C., friend of the bride.

The best man was Robert A. Odasz, son of the groom. The usher was Richard Harless, son-in-law of the groom. Music was provided by Dan Keeley. The guestbook was attended by Ashlei Blackburn, great-niece of the bride.

The bride is a daughter of Louise M. Sherrill and the late James L. Sherrill of Greenville, S.C. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Management and is retired from G.E. in Greenville, S.C.

The bridegroom, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard G. Odasz of Schenectady, N.Y., is a graduate of Union College, Schenectady. He is retired from G.E. in Salem.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after the wedding trip to Hawaii.

\ Rohrer-Kenley

ROANOKE - Melissa Mae Kenley and Robert Scott Rohrer were united in marriage on May 28, 1994, in the gardens of La Maison in Roanoke, Va. Larry Phillips officiated the outdoor, double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Kenley of Christiansburg. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Rohrer or Aurora, Il.

The bride wore a long, formal gown of white satin. The dress featured a V-neckline and fitted princess bodice adorned with hand-beaded pearled and sequined alencon lace. The long, fitted embroidered sleeves were accented with satin bows at the shoulders. Re-embroidered alencon lace adorned the basque waistline, long, sheath skirt-front and hem. The detachable chapel strain was accented with embroidered, beaded appliques and edged with alencon lace. The bride wore a princess, double-tiered crown accented with Austrian crystals, rhinestones, and pearls. Illusion tulle formed a large, double pouffe that cascaded to a fingertip veil. She carried a cascading bouquet of gardenias, roses and stephonotis.|

Ms. Laura Phillips of Radford was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Kasey Kenley, sister-in-law of the bride, of Christiansburg; Mrs. Beth Stephens of Dublin, Ms. Christy Phillips and Ms. Jen ny Shearer of Richmond, KY; and Ms. Michelle Santon of Pikeville, Ky. Kayla Bullian, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

Mr. R. C. Chase of Fairview, Pa. was best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Steve Aumock of Rochester Hills, Mi, Mr. Kevin Bigenwald of Lisles, Pa., Mr. Paul Douglas of London, Ky., Mr. Clay Hamrick of Richmond, Ky., and Mr. Andy Rohrer, brother of the groom, of Naperville, Il. Mr. Ricky Kenley and Mr. Kevin Kenley, brothers of the bride, were the ushers. Master Joe Thompson, cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer.

Mrs. Gretchen Kenley, sister-in-law of the bride, was the wedding director. Susan Lytton and Denise Clemons, the bride's cousins, attended the guest book and programs. Soloist was Mrs. Robin Hall and the organist was Richard English.

The bride is a graduate of Radford High School and Eastern Kentucky University. She is employed by Dr. Loiacon, D.D.S., in Peckville, Pa. The groom is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. He is employed as a manager for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Scranton, Pa.

After a honeymoon in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple is living in Scranton, Pa.

\ Schell-Howell

Judith Howell and William R. Schell were married July 9, 1994 in St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Akron, Ohio. The bridgeoom, son of Carl and Annette Schell of Roanoke, Va., is a graduate of Cave Spring High School.

\ Schoonover-Akers

Angela Dawn Akers and Dwayne Micheal Schoonover were married July 2, 1994 in Bethel Assembly fo God. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Herbert Sublett. The reception was held at the church.

The matron of honor was Paula Beamer, sister. The bridesmaids were Sarah Janney, friend of the bride, and Lynn Schoonover, sister-in-law. Flowergirl was Becky Likens.

The best man was Gerald Schoonover, father of the groom. The ushers were Steve Robinson, friend of the groom, and Dennis Furrow, friend of the groom. Ringbearer was Josh Schoonover. The guestbook was attended by Sarah Beth Akers.

The bride is a daughter of Bill and Alice Akers of Roanoke County.

The bridgegroom is a son of Gerald and Dot Schoonover of Roanoke County.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke.

Cynthia Dawn Bryant and Joseph Ammon Sell were united in marriage on July 30, 1994 in Thrasher United Methodist Church. William Anthony Layman was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Pam Chewning, fri end of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Sarah Sell, sister of the groom; Robin Delaney, Kristy Martin and Laura Pritt, friends of the bride. Lauren Cannon and Kendall Cannon, cousins of the bride, were the flowergirls. Charles W. Sell served as his son's best man. The ushers were Robert Bryant and Tommy Bryant, brothers of the bride; and Ben Sell and Dan Sell, brothers of the groom. Mark Cox and Matthew Cox, cousins of the groom, were the ringbearers. Penny Hostetter was the guestbook attendant.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale W. Bryant of Daleville. She is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Sell of Blue Ridge. He is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School.

The newlyweds will reside in Vinton.

\ Stanley-Carroll

Stephanie Carroll and Christopher Stanley were united in marriage on May 21st, 1994 at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church. Reverend Greg Reynolds officiated.

The bride was escorted by Robert Dallas. Kathy Hayslett attended as matron of honor. Pam Rorer, Julie Bryan, Beth Hornback, and Debbie Stanley attended as bridesmaids. Jennifer Rorer attended as a junior bridesmaid and Kellyann Bryan attended as flower girl.

Don Stanley was best man. Mike Stanley, Spence Peters, Greg Hornback, and Jeff Ramsey were ushers. Colby Rorer was a junior usher.

Stephanie attended Northside High and is now employed by N & W Credit Union and Food Lion. Chris is a graduate of Northside High, Va. Western, and Roanoke College, and is now employed by Roanoke County. The couple resides in Roanoke

\ Thompson-Fleshman

Ann Marie Fleshman and H.S. ``Rusty'' Thompson Jr. were married July 9, 1994, in Oak Grove Baptist Church. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Tom Erwin. The reception was held at Oak Grove Baptist Churc h in Keeling, Va.

The matron of honor was Rhonda Lambert, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Beth Bell, sister of the groom, Dedria Slattery, friend, and Jennifer Keffer, friend. Flowergirl was Jennifer Lambert, niece of the bride.

The best man was David Smithson, friend. The ushers were Hoyt Bowman Jr., John Bowman, uncle of the groom, Bobby Fleshman II, brother of the bride, and Rodney Lewis, friend.

The bride's gown was her sister's dress of white satin.

The bride is a daughter of Patsy and Bobby Fleshman of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Northside High School and received a Master's degree from Longwood College.

The bridgegroom, son of Charlotte Thompson and the late H.S. Thompson of Keeling, is a graduate of George Washington High School and is employed by Corning, Inc.

The newlyweds will live in Keeling, Va.

\ Tillman-Bowles

Monica Alease Bowles and Michael Raymond Tillman were married on Saturday, July 30, 1994, at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis, Md. The celebrant was Father Charles Donovan. The reception was held at The Kent Manor Inn.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Melvin L. Bowles, Jr. The matron of honor was Jessica S. Tudor of Vinton, Va., friend of the bride. The maid of honor was Jennifer Lovellette of Snow Hill, Md., friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Sharon Tillman of Charlottesville, Va, sister of the groom; Alison Angus of Richmond, Va., cousin of the bride; and Eva Reis of Baltimore, Md., friend of the bride. Lauren Angus of Richmond, Va., cousin of the bride, was the flowergirl.

The best man was Raymond W. Tillman of Timonium, Md., father of the groom. The groomsmen were Brian Bowles of Roanoke, Va., brother of the bride; William Bushman of Safety Harbor, Fla.; Lewis Whiting of Lake Worth, Fla.; and Kenneth Heaps of Towson, Md., all friends of the groom. Tommy Bowles of Davidsonville, Md., and Brent Angus of Richmond, Va., both cousins of the bride, were the ringbearers.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin L. Bowles, Jr., of Daleville, Va. She is a graduate of Roanoke Catholic School and The College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She is the Assistant Manager of the Laura Ashley Shop in Annapolis, Md.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond W. Tillman of Timonium, Md. He is a graduate of Bays Latin School and Towson State University. He is employed with The American Shade in Baltimore, Md.

After a honeymoon trip to Bermuda, Monica and Michael will live in Glyndon, Maryland.

\ Wright-Cox

Chrystie Deleigh Cox and Michael James Wright were married July 15, 1994, in a private ceremony at the home of the bride's sister in Salem, Va. The ceremony was performed by Pastor Carter Sloan. A reception followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Cox of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Radford University and is employed by the U.S. Postal Service.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Wright of New Castle. He is a graduate of New Castle High School and is employed by G.J. Hopkins, Inc.

The couple will reside in Roanoke.
