NAMES ON CAMPUS

WILBUR W. STANTON is the new dean of the Graduate College. Stanton comes to Radford from Old Dominion University, where he served as chairman of the marketing department and director of graduate studies.

BRUCE K. BAYLOCK is the new dean of the College of Business and Economics. Baylock is the former dean of the Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University.

RAYMOND E. LINKOUS is the recipient of the Roanoke Symphony Volunteer Association's 1994 Anne Jett Rogers Scholarship. The award is designed to further the musical training of a talented and promising musician in the Roanoke area.

Police chief TOBY PHILLIPS was selected to attend the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy in Quantico. The 11-week management course includes training in forensic science, behavioral science, communication and constitutional law.

The state Council of Higher Education has awarded grants to three Radford University professors to develop training programs for Virginia teachers:

Geology professor JONATHAN L. TSO will provide practical field experience in geology to 24 middle and secondary school earth science teachers:

FRANKLIN M. JONES, a physical science professor, will incorporate regional workshops to help teachers develop an integrated mathematics and science whole language curriculum.

CAROLYN A. DICKMAN, an educational studies professor, will create a project for fourth and fifth grade teachers to help female, rural and minority students of Southwestern Virginia with science learning.
