Wheat First Butcher Singer has awarded council memberships to two employees for outstanding leadership and achievement. RICHARD N. BOHLIN, senior vice president of the Blacksburg office, is a member of the Executive Leadership Council. DAVID LLOYD HARDER, a Blacksburg office investment officer, is a member of the Leadership Council.

JAMES L. MATNEY has been appointed chief financial officer of Montgomery Regional Hospital. Matney comes to the New River Valley from Terre Haute, Ind., where he served as chief financial officer of Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

The First National Bank has announced that BRENT BEESON of Blacksburg has joined the bank's commercial loan division. Beeson is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the Central Atlantic Commercial Lending School.

DENNY BROWN of Christiansburg, a licensed Virginia real estate agent and a member of the New River Valley Association of Realtors, has joined the staff of Raines Real Estate.

JAMES T. "TIM" TAIT has been selected to head HICO Specialty Contractors' coating division. Tait has undergone the National Association of Corrosion Engineers International Coating Inspector Training.

D. NEIL TALBERT, HICO president, will serve a four-year term on the Virginia Board for Asbestos Licensing.

WAYNE O. NELSON of Mills, Oliver and Webb has passed the Virginia State Board examination for certification as a professional engineer.
