JEFF WILSON, a representative of Equitable Life of Iowa's Roanoke agency, teamed with people from Equitable Life of Iowa, the University of Arizona and Westin Hotels to build a playground facility for children on the San Zavier Mission in Tucson, Ariz. The school is on an Indian reservation and is operated by the Catholic Mission.
CLARENCE CALDWELL, the former vice president of finance for Roanoke College, received the Trustee of the Year Award in recognition of his service to the development of the Brandon Oaks Healthcare Center. The award was presented by the Virginia Association of Nonprofit Homes for the Aging .

The "Award for Excellence" is presented to Chrysler dealerships demonstrating outstanding achievement in the areas of customer satisfaction, sales performance, administrative efficiency, professional facilities and community relations. This is the second time that Dominion Car Company has received the award.
TERESA KELLEY and CHRISTOPHER FERRIS recently received scholarship grants from the Hooker Educational Foundation which provides grants to qualified children and spouses of employees of Hooker Furniture Corporation. Kelley is pursuing a medical office assistant degree at Dominion Business School, and Ferris is pursuing a degree in commercial art at Virginia Western Community College.
MOORE'S LUMBER & BUILDING SUPPLIES of Roanoke raised more than $43,000 at a recent golf outing with its participating suppliers helping the City of Hope National Medical Center and its Beckman Research Institute. The event was part of the Hardware/Home Improvement Industry's yearlong fund-raising campaign for the City of Hope.
