ANDERSON, Kevin Dale, 33, of Wilmington, N.C., formerly of Roanoke, died Tuesday, August 2, 1994, in Wilmington, N.C. He was the managing chef of the Ice House Restaurant in Wilmington and had been employed for several years as chef of the Roanoke Marriott, where he was known as Captain Hungry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Joseph E. Anderson Jr. and Joyce Pentecost Anderson. Surviving are his grandmother, Nellie L. Pentecost, Roanoke; four sisters, Bonnie B. Maxwell, Roanoke, Vickie B. Dunnavant, Wake Forest, N.C., Mitzi J. Mitchell, Wilmington, N.C., Tracy J. Anderson, Athens, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Taylo Marsh, Cassy Duncan, Anthony Duncan. Funeral services will be at Oakey's North Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. R. Stuart Carlton officiating. Interment will be in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. BAIN, Kenneth Lee, 59, of Dublin, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 1994, in Charlottesville. He was retired employee of the Lynchburg Foundry. He was preceded in death by his parents; Riner W. and Johnnie Shelburne Bain. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. BOOTH, Edith Mae Reid, 66, a resident of 106 Guy St., Elkins, W. Va., passed away Wednesday, August 3, 1994, following an extended illness. She was born May 13, 1928 near Lexington, a daughter of the late Harry F. and Mattie Ola Duncan Reid. She was married to Ralph R. Booth, who survives in Elkins. Also surviving are two sons, Harry Allen Booth, Rhoadesville, Va., David Reid Booth, Luray, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Janet) Ott, Gibsonia, Pa., Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Nestor, Elkins, W. Va.; four brothers, Robert Reid, Roanoke, Malcolm Reid, Lexington, Harry Elwood Reid, Brookesville, Fla., and Fred Reid, Culpeper; one sister, Mrs. Warren (Virginia) Rawley, Mt. Solon, Va.; and five grandchildren. Also, preceding her in death were two brothers. Mrs.. Booth was a graduate of Effinger High School, Lexington, Va. and Radford College, Radford. Va. COLEMAN, Rose Dotson, 94, of Route 4, Moneta and formerly of Maxie, Va. died Thursday, August 4, 1994, in the Bedford County Memorial Hosptial. She was born in Buchanan County on November 4, 1899, a daughter of the late John Preston Dotson and Alifair Dotson Dotson. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Church of Christ in Grudy, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Mahlon Coleman. She is survived by two sons, H. Dallas Coleman, Detriot, Mi., Ronald T. Coleman, Moneta; three daughters, June C. Craft, Moneta, Gloria R. Myers, Virginia Beach, Geneva Young, Richmond; three brothers, Clark Dotson, Moneta, Earl Dotson, Hopeville, Wa., Ed Dotson, Stities, Id; one sister, Lena Wallace, Riner, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-children. HUMPHRIES, Geneva Quate, 86, of Low Moor, died Wednesday, August 3, 1994, at her residence. She was born in Covington on August 13, 1907, daughter of the late Richard Lee and Kathleen Kate Bennett Quate. She was the widow of Harvey Walton Humphries who preceded her in death in 1967. She was a retired Nurses Aide for the C. & O. Hospital, member of the Low Moor Presbyterian Church and Circle #3. Mrs. Humphries is survived by one daughter, Maxine Banton of Lynchburg; two sons, Marion ''Pete'' Quate of Gate City, and Danny Humphries of Richmond; seven grandchildren; two-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Harvey W. Humphries Jr. and one grandson, Artie Quate. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Nicely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William O. MINNICK, Garland Mack, 58, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 1994 in the Medical Care Center, Lynchburg. He was born April 8, 1936, in Bedford County, a son of the late Wyatt W. Minnick and Pearl Burk Minnick. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Minnick. He was a retired truck driver with B. B. Nash Trucking. He is survived by a daughter, Doris Marie Hurt, Goodview; two sons, Donald Minnick, Troutville, John Minnick, Bedford; three brothers, Landon Minnick, George Ed Minnick, both of Bedford, Albert Minnick, Blue Ridge; three sisters, Eunice Eubank, Bernice Reynolds, both of Bedford, Odessa Falls, Lynchburg; and three grandchildren. PLYMALE, Thomas Ray, 79, of Roanoke, died Thursday, August 4, 1994 at his residence. Mr. Plymale was a member of Roanoke Optomist Club where he served as President for two years. He was employed by the National Biscuit Company as Regional Sales Manager for thirty eight years. A member and President in 1969 of the Roanoke Valley Fraternal Order of Police, a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, where he served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Original member of the City of Roanoke War Memorial Committee from September 1982 to June 1994, member of Northminster Presbyterian Church since 1955, where he served as Deacon and Elder for over 20 years and Sunday School teacher for many years, and most recently, Assistant Treasurer, and a member of the American Legion Post #3 one year, and Past Post Commander for 3 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ruth Plymale; sons and daughters-in-laws, Thomas Montgomery and Sandra Plymale, Waynesboro and Monty W. and Sarah Plymale, Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Kermit W. and Gladys Plymale, Salem; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Carleen and Edward L. Buford, Roanoke; grandchildren Michael Ryan and Justin; sister-in-law, Mrs. William S. (Irene) Plymale, Roanoke and a number of nieces and nephews.
