BLACKSBURG - The Town of Blacksburg is compiling a list of certified backflow prevention device testers for public use in the town backflow prevention program. Contractors must have passed a course with the Virginia Cross Connection Control Association to be certified.

BLACKSBURG - The First National Bank has opened a new automated teller machine facility at 1710 Prices Fork Road.

The facility provides customers with 24-hour access to accounts through the MOST, Cirrus and Plus networks as well as credit transactions through MasterCard and Visa.

Grand opening

CHRISTIANSBURG - The grand opening of the new Heironimus store in Christiansburg on Saturday will start off at 8 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Store officials and Christiansburg mayor Harold Linkous will participate in the ceremony.

Taurus raffle

CHRISTIANSBURG - The Christiansburg-Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce will draw the winning ticket in the raffle of a 1987 Ford Taurus donated by Shelor Automotive Shopping Center and Homer Cox Ford on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Wilderness Trail Festival in downtown Christiansburg.

Tickets will be on sale at the chamber office until the drawing date.
